When boarding your dog with us, please consider these things:
We require updated shot records for Rabies, Distemper, & Bordetella.
Please email your updated vaccines to wwkennel2014@gmail.com prior to your dog's stay OR bring them with you when you drop your dog off.
In order to keep our staff and our customers safe, we have the right to refuse any dog who does not have updated vaccines.
If you do not have your dogs updated vaccines at the time of your stay, you may be turned away.
We require the Bordetella vaccine to be in your dogs system at least 2 weeks prior to their stay, to allow the vaccine to take effect.
We encourage you to bring bedding or blankets for your dog to bring them a little bit of comfort from home. Please be aware that these items may become soiled or chewed up during their stay.
If you would prefer not to bring bedding from home, we always have extra blankets and comforters we can use for them.
You may bring toys for your pets, but these items also have the potential of being destroyed or lost.
Please bring your dog's regular dog food. You may prepackage and measure it into sandwich baggies, or bring their food in a container and let us know how much they need morning & evening.
We do supply Diamond Naturals dog food for any dog that needs extra during their stay, but we always recommend bringing your own, as changing their diet may cause an upset stomach.
We supply stainless steel food and water dishes, along with slow feeders that are washed daily after each meal.
Please do not bring your own dishes as they might get lost or mixed up with ours.
Please bring any medications your dog typically takes. Please bring written instructions for how much they need and how frequently they need each medication.
We will give your dogs their medication at the required time.
Always bring your dogs in on a leash, as there are always other dogs coming in and out of our lobby.
For boarding, we will give your dog's leash back, so it does not get mixed up with our daycare dog leashes. We use our own slipleads in the back and do not need to keep their leashes here during their stay.
Every dog gets several 15 minute play times throughout the day. Please let us know if your dog has been socialized with other dogs, or if they would do better alone.
Boarding dogs that get along with other dogs will be placed in groups with our daycare dogs. Boarding dogs who are alone will get one on one playtime with a member of our staff.
In addition to playtime, every boarding dog has a separate concrete run connected to their kennel, so they can stretch their legs or go outside to the bathroom as often as they need.
If you would like a quicker check-in process, you can bring in a list of each item you brought with you, along with a written copy of their feeding schedule & any medications.
Please be specific in the list ie. "red heart blanket, blue rope toy" etc.
If you hace additional questions about your pet's stay, please call us so we can fill you in with any necessary information you need!
